Post Your Pictures!!

Because we don't want to store huge amounts of pictures on our website, you will need to have your pictures posted on an online photo community. There are many websites out there that do this for free. Most of you probably already use one - but here are some examples.

www.photobucket.com, www.freeimagehosting.net, www.pbase.com, www.zoto.com, www.smugmug.com

NOTE: www.shutterfly.com DOES NOT allow "hot linking", so their website will not work.

Here's How To Link:

On your photo hosting website, there is usually a button to "generate html" or "generate link". Click that button and you will see a link that can be copied (see note below about format of link). If you need help, most websites offer help under their FAQ section. Look for "hot linking" or links, etc. Or for those with kids old enough - ask them! They most likely have a myspace account and link pics like this all the time!

NOTE: This link is not just the standard URL. It might be listed as "Tag" or something similar on your photo hosting website. For reference, the line you are copying should start with '<a href= ...' or '<img src= ...' - it should not start with 'http:// '.

On the Loch Raven website, go to the "My Info" page. There is a new section under the Comments that says: "Add links to Photographs here..."

Paste the link (or links) from your photo hosting website into the box and click Submit.

Your profile will be updated with the photograph(s)
